• Discolourations caused by welding lead to an ugly appearance
• Welding discolorations can be removed mechanically and/or electrolytically
• Toxic and corrosive agents are often used to remove this discolouration
• Skin, eye and breath protection is required when working with these agents
• These conventional chemicals are very harmful to the environment and extensive measures need to be taken to capture spilled or used product, specially at places where food is also processed
